Koto Ryū Koppō jutsu - Bujinkan T-Shirt

Regular price $29.99

Koto Ryū Koppō jutsu is one of the 9 ryūha that are apart of the Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu taught by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi. Koto ryu was founded by Sakagami Tarō Kunishige in the Muromachi period (1392–1573), originating from Gyokko-ryū. It is said that the techniques that makeup Koto Ryu come from China, through Korea on its way to Japan.

Koppojutsu or bone attacking blocks are commonly used in Koto ryu along with direct straight in and liner movements.

Koto Ryū Koppō jutsu in English means "Knocking down the Tiger" school depending on how you translate it. This school is also known for striking hard, shurikenjutsu, and kenjutsu.

This is the design includes:

  • The kanji in the middle, 虎倒流骨法術 or Koto Ryū Koppō jutsu
  • On the left, we have a recreation of a popular Japanese print with a warrior knocking down the tiger
  • In the center, there is an image of Hatsumi doing Hira ichimonji no kamae
  • On the right, a Daken Uke using koppo jutsu to break a bone in the arm

The main design is located on the back of the Tshirt, with the Bujinkan Kanji on the front left chest.

This is designed for those who walk the path of Budo and wish to remind themselves along with others of the ongoing journey we are all on.
