Kuki Shinden Happō Bikenjutsu is one of the 9 ryūha that are apart of the Bujinkan Budō Taijutsu taught by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi. Kuki Shinden Happō Bikenjutsu was founded by Yasushimaru Kurando in the 14th century CE. Kukishin Ryu techniques are supposed to originate from China, and even from the lands west of China. "Kuki" in Kukishin means nine demons. It was awarded to Yasushimaru Kurando by the Emperor after observing his prowess in battle.
Kuki Shinden Ryu in English means "Nine Gods Divine School" or "Nine Demon Divine School" depending on how you translate it. This school is a sōgō bujutsu, indicating that it teaches many different weapons, such as taijutsu, bōjutsu, naginatajutsu, kenpō, hanbōjutsu, sōjutsu and heiho.
